Jesse + Casey: Ojai Wedding Pt 4

I am SO in love with the decorations from this wedding! Books, aged parchment, vintage typewriters ….

“I don’t know at what point I decided I wanted a paper wedding, but once that happened, I ran with it! Jesse and I are both lovers of books, as well as the library (his mother was a librarian when he was growing up, and some of my happiest childhood memories took place in the library with my grandmother), so using that as the wedding theme was a wonderful, organic decision. There were 4 words that kept repeating in my head as I planned the wedding — “soulful”, “classic”, “unique” and “magical”– all of which can be found within the creature comforts of a library.”

Jesse + Casey: Ojai Wedding Pt 2

The ceremony! And just a few decorations before we really get into them at the reception … I love these old books. Casey spent over a year selecting each and every one. Are you ready for this? I feel giddy right now going through these photos from the beginning again (the editing process is a long one) and this wedding was filled with so many small beautiful details, that picking out which ones to feature kinda makes my eyes feel like a kid’s in a candy shop : )

First of all, let me tell you about the location. Ojai. Ojai is really really beautiful. It’s a small town not far from Ventura (where we also took some photos) and I pretty much fell in love with the place within 2 minutes of being there. It was a grey, quiet, fall day where you just felt like something amazing and magical was drifting around just waiting to manifest itself : )

So let’s begin … the day started off at the Su Nido Inn where Casey was getting ready : )

Projects

Here is a calendar/journal that I made as a christmas present for my mom, a friend, and then I made one for myself as well : ) I originally saw this idea on design sponge and fell in love with it : )

I stamped each note card with the date and separated each month with old postcards.

The perfect desktop journal :  )
