Okay check this out. Remember Marlowe & Josh? I shot their wedding way back in March (I can’t believe it has been 6 months already! Crazy!) Well, one of the things that made their wedding so ef-ing cool was the video they made for their first dance. Marlowe & Josh run their own production company and when it came to adding a little extra something AWESOME to their wedding, they came up with this. Detroit

If you have never been to Detroit, you should go right now. And not just to Detroit. You should go to Ann Arbor. Traverse City. Mio (yeah, Mio!) South Manitou Island. Just go to Michigan and spend 2 weeks there, at least. You will never be more than 6 miles from either a lake (great or otherwise), a river, or fresh water stream. It’s just about to be fall in Michigan, which I don’t even think I need to say – is amazing. You will eat some of the best food you have ever had in your life …  I could go on and on but some things you just need to experience for yourself.

Here are some photos from my trip back home last week.

It started at Slows Bar BQ in Corktown. This has a not-so-surprisingly meat filled menu BUT they do have amazing Mac n Cheese. It’s really good. My mom really wanted me to bring my leftovers home but we were going to be exploring the rest of the afternoon and I felt it might go bad just sitting in the car, so I left my leftovers outside for any takers to feast on. Hey free food.

Darren + Amber: Wedding Rehearsal

Today I bring you a glimpse into a very special San Jose wedding rehearsal. This is the wedding rehearsal for Darren and Amber ‘beautiful on the inside and out’ Kool. Yes, their last name is Kool. Never a more perfect name has been bestowed … These two are so damn nice. So damn gorgeous. So damn fun. So damn going to rule the world with their bionic children one day. AND they were totally psyched about making their wedding photos something … more. They were up for anything and Matt and I walked away from their wedding so excited, so exhausted, and so happy that there are people like them out there in the world : )

off, off, and away …

I am in Detroit this week attempting a vacation in-between shooting a wedding, engagement sessions, belly sessions, boudoir sessions, family sessions, and a bridal shower.
